The United States could meet four times its energy needs with offshore wind production alone, according to a report issued by the Department of Energy.
"Clean, renewable energy development that capitalizes on the nation's vast offshore wind and water resources holds great promise for our the USA and other countries that wish to take advantage of the FREE power available to them.
Spain is now investing heavily in wind turbines and solar power.
On a trip to Granada last month i saw rows and rows of new wind turbines on the hill sides from Almeria in Southern Spain to Granada.
The Spanish government is also helping locals to start their own smaller wind and solar energy saving projects with local grants.
